Calligraphy
is defined as "beautiful writing".
Each
style of calligraphy is known as a "hand".
The
hand which most people are familiar is known as Italic. Other hands
includes,
but are not limited to:
Gothicized
Italic, Uncial,
Gothic,
Blackletter, Foundational, Informal Pen, Copperplate and Letter Variations.

Itatic Calligraphy Workshop
A one day workshop for beginning students is offered through Tarleton State
University's Langdon Center Campus, east of the Square in Granbury,
Texas.. This one day workshop is scheduled on Saturday from 9:00 to
3:00. The course fee is $30 which includes a three nib pen set and a
Lloyd Reynold Instruction Booklet. All materials are provided.
Instructor Phil Delucchi has been practicing Calligraphy since 1967. He learned the art in Oregon from a Lloyd Reynold student at a Continuing Education Class similar to the one being offered. Brief instructions on basics and fundamentals are given followed with practice and instructor's one on one support and assistance to each student.
