Yep! One done, one to go. Splint work is one of the faster chair repair methods.

This is an Over two/Under two pattern. It is woven on the top and bottom. Carolyn could have used Rush, Shaker Tape, Rawhide, Danish Cord or Binder Cane. Having Splint on the original seat, it is recommended to replace it to maintain the integrity of the piece.

The second one took about 3 hours. One part boiled Linseed Oil with two parts of paint thinner brushed on finished the Carolyn's project.
