Stephen with his "best group ever" starting out in my fair city, Dublin and return two weeks later. We are all for the better, well informed and aware of our good friends and neighbors to the east across the pond.

Award winning Stephen McPhilemy from Derry, Ireland was our excellent guide for the entire tour. The tour stayed in Dublin, Kilkenny, Kinsale, Dingle, Galway, Westport, and Portrush with many stops in between.

Most evenings the group found a friendly Pub.We
listened to traditional Irish music and sampled the
local beers. "Having good craic ". (Fun)

Rick Steves Ireland Tour 2004

June 27 to July 11, 2004

Seaside on the Dingle-Peninsula . Next city west is Boston

One evening on our own our long time friends met at
their B&B for wine and cheese before going out for
the evening. All public buildings are Smoke Free in Ireland, including the Pubs. Very nice change from England and at home..

Our Ireland Tour Group after a Hurling game

One of the highlights of the trip was our chance to play Hurling. Hurling and Gaelic Football are the big sports in Ireland. We all agreed. Fast moving and fun. (Cross armed in Blue shirted) Asst.Coach and Bus Driver Bill and (cross armed in black shirt) Head Coach Stephen. Must be an Irish tradition.

Ross Castle in Killarney National Park. We took a Jaunte cart ride and lunched on the lake and drove on to Dingle.

 Back to Delucchi Family

Irish guides know how to get the "Ugly Americans" to toe the line. Stephen demonstrated to us once and we all behaved the entire time.

Of course, a trip to Ireland would not be complete without a plain wool hat, Bailey's Irish Cream, Waterford Crystal, Belleek China, or other pottery, art, items for family and friends back home. Artists/Crafters/Entertainers and Horse Breeders earn tax exempt status for being significant net contributors to the Irish economy
